(Or words to that effect, since I don’t speak Mandarin…)

The actual translation is more or less “Best wishes and Congratulations. Have a prosperous and good year.”

So we’ll go with that.

I changed direction last week and took cameras to the Lunar New Year Festival at Viet Hoa Center in Little Asia last weekend. I can’t usually follow a whole lot of what’s going on, beyond the basics of who’s from where and such, but it’s always a spectacle.

And I always shoot too many pictures and inflict them on my editors… or my readers.

And now it’s YOUR turn.

Click the lion… Go ahead, it’s safe. Chinese Dancing Lions are friendly. Sometimes they get a little frisky and try to eat your camera, but they’re excruciatingly polite about it.
